We can drill those holes on the precision granite.

What Types of Holes Can Be Drilled in Precision Granite Platforms (Comprehensive Summary Applications)

For precisionanite/marble measuring platforms, machine tool bases, and CMM bases, the conventionally processable holes fall into five major categories, all of which are industry-standard holes:

I. Insttion and Fixing Holes (Most Common)
Threaded Holes
Metric threaded holes such as M6, M8, M10, M116, used for mounting fixtures, brackets, gauge supports, and tooling plates.
Countersunk Screw Holes
For hex socket head cap screws or countersunk bolts; the screws arush with the surface, maintaining zero protrusion to avoid interfering with measurement and sliding.
Through Holes and Blind Holes
For passing tie rods, fixing anchor bolts, and lifting connection cponents.

II. Positioning Reference Holes
Precision Pin Holes (Locating Pin Holes)
High-precision smooth through holes or blind holes, used with cylindrical pins or diamins for tooling repeat positioning; accuracy can reach 0.01mm level.
Datum Coordinate Holes
Holes drilled in a coordinate array to serve as inspection benchmarks or tatum origins.

III. Assembly Function Holes
Holes for T-slots and Clamp Pass-throughs
Used in conjunction with T-slots to pass clamp bolts and secure kpieces.
Stepped Holes (Counterbored Holes)
Large counterbored section small locating hole, used for bearings, bushings, and limit rings.

/ Auxiliary Function Holes (Common for Pneumatic Platforms)
Air Holes and Air Floating Micro-holes
Specialized for air-bearing granite platforms; small holes are drilled allow air to form an air film for frictionless sliding.
Oilway Holes and Lubrication Holes
Used in machine tool granite beds for lubricant flow and lubrication hannels.

V. Lifting and Anchor Holes
Lifting Threaded Holes
Deep threaded holes drilled on the side or bottom of large platforms to install lifting rings for easy handling and ination.
Leveling Anchor Holes
Holes drilled on the bottom to install leveling feet or vibration-damping pads for leveling and vibration reduction.

Holes That Cannot Be Drilledrbitrarily (Taboos)
Do not drill large-diameter deep holes that arbitrarily cross through the material: this easily disrupts the overall stress of the granite, causing m deformation, and loss of accuracy;
Do not drill dense holes in critical load-bearing areas: this reduces rigidity and causes flatness deviation over long-term use;
Do not drill arp-cornered or irregular-shaped holes: stress concentration easily leads to chipping and cracking.

Processing Tips
Precision granite can only be drilled/tapped with diamond tools; ordinary drill bits cannot trate it and are prone to chipping;
High-precision pin holes and threaded holes must be pre-drilled with pilot holes before precision grinding/tapping to ensure perpendicularity and hole spacin accuracy;
Hole positions must avoid the platform’s central load-bearing area and long ribs to prevent deformation.
